Australian Visa Application charges applicable from The 1 of January 2012 -31 July 2012 – i.e. only new visa fees will be accepted by all VFS offices as of the 30 of December-2011
	Kindly note that “NO CASH” payments are accepted at any of the VFS centers.
	VISA FEES - Please take a Mandatory "Only Bank Issued Cheque" for the Visa Fees. The Australian High Commission in Pretoria advises that the preferred method of payment accepted for applications from Botswana, Malawi, Namibia and Zambia will be bank issued cheques from either Standard or Stanbic Bank
	VFS Administration Fees - Please note the only modes of payments which are accepted are a "Cash Deposit" at the Bank or an "Electronic Fund Transfer". Kindly note that you would be required to submit the originals for the Proof of payments STRICTLY WITH THE "Applicant PASSPORT NUMBER USED AS PAYMENT REFERENCE" during the submission of your application.
	Please provide the original bank issued cheque (for the visa application fee) and the original proof of payment (for the VFS administration fee) to VFS at time of application

PS - Kindly note in an event whereby you have been asked to pay CASH, kindly notify our Security Office immediately on 0117840915

The Australian High Commission in Pretoria advises that the average processing time for a visitors visa for South African citizens is now back to 10 working days, However clients are requested NOT TO contact the High Commission if their application is still within this timeframe".

Urgent applications are limited to Compassionate/Compelling circumstances (ie - where an immediate relative or partner is critically injured or ill, the sudden death of a family member;

In such cases, Written Evidence must be provided from physician/hospital that confirms injury/illness/death

Urgent or expedited applications DOES NOT include circumstances where an airline ticket and/or accommodation has been purchased prior to the grant of a visa

The High Commission also advises that as from Monday 1 November client telephone hours will be 08.30 am - 11.30 am from Monday to Friday only.
